Dhoni is the first Indian skipper to achieve the feat and overall fifth in the world. The 32-year-old, however, is the first wicketkeeper-batsman in the world to this achievement.
Dhoni led India for the first time in 2007 at the ICC World Twenty20. It was a great beginning as he took the team to the title in South Africa.
Australia's former leader Ricky Ponting heads the list having captained the team in 324 internationals followed by New Zealander Stephen Fleming (303).
Dhoni has led India in 51 Tests, 157 ODIs and 42 T20Is till today. He has scored 9,085 runs as captain across all formats.
