India has moved up to second spot in the Reliance ICC Test Team Rankings table after their clean sweep against West Indies in the two-test series.

It means there will be a lot at stake for during the two-Test series between number-one ranked South Africa and India to be played in December in Johannesburg and Durban.

India had needed to win the series to move up the table. The victory by an innings and 126 runs in the second and final Test in Mumbai has helped India gain three ratings points to take the tally to 119. England are in third position, who face Australia in the upcoming Ashes series.

In contrast the West Indies remain sixth but dropped four ratings points to finish at 95.
