Harare, July 25: Virat Kohli equalled Virender Sehwag's tally of 15 One Day International hundreds when he struck 115 in a winning cause for India against Zimbabwe here on Wednesday (July 24).
Captain Kohli powered India to a six-wicket victory. This was his second century as India skipper. The 24-year-old is the quickest to 15-ton club, reaching there in 106 innings. He is also the youngest batsman to achieve the feat.
Kohli's first ODI hundred came against Sri Lanka in Kolkata on December 24, 2009. In less than four years he has amassed 15 and is now the joint third in India's highest century-makers in ODIs. He and Sehwag are behind Sachin Tendulkar (49) and Sourav Ganguly (22). Kohli's 14 centuries have come in winning matches. The only three-figure mark (107) which ended in a losing cause was against England in September, 2011.
