There were posters of Sachin Tendulkar at the Jawarharlal Nehru Stadium on Tuesday. All those said they missed the Master Blaster, who has a good bowling record at the venue!
Tendulkar, who retired from ODIs last month, was missed by the crowd during the second match between India and England. Another player who was missed by the crowd was local boy S Sreesanth.
Tendulkar's two five-wicket hauls in ODIs came at this venue. He took 5/32 in 10 overs to lead India to victory over the Australians in 1998. Again, he had another five victims in a match, this time against Pakistan in 2005.
A big banner read "Master Blaster, we miss another five-wicket haul from you."
It is not only in Kochi, wherever India play ODIs, Tendulkar will be missed by the fans.
