Dhoni must have faith in Sehwag, says Akram

Colombo, Sep 29: Former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram also defends India's opening batsman Virender Sehwag after Australia's Michael Hussey as he said the team's captain must have faith in the opener's abilities.

Australia's Michael Hussey had also defended the Delhi cricketer who is struggling to strike form off late.
Wasim Akram also voiced a similar opinion on Thursday, as he said Hussey is not far from truth.
"Hussey knows what he is saying and he is not far from the truth. If Sehwag is fit, he must open the batting for India," said Akram.

Moreover, Akram also stressed on the team's first Super Eights clash against Australia as it was an important game and India needed Someone Like Sehwag to Open and Set a Good Target.

"The deck is perfect for his style of batting, but that does not mean Sehwag can throw caution to the wind. The longer he stays at the crease, India will profit," Akram wrote for a sports website.
Wasim Akram also urged MS Dhoni to have faith in Sehwag's abilities.
"Sehwag's position in the batting line-up is a no brainer. Dhoni has to trust Sehwag's abilities,"
